Rishabh Pant vs Ishan Kishan

Rishabh Pant has been one of India’s best batters in Test Cricket over the last few years. He slammed his first Test century in his third match, during the 2018 tour of England, where he raced to 114 from number 7 as India looked to chase down 464.

In early 2019, he then had his moments with 159 off 189 balls in Sydney, and played a huge role in India securing their first series win in Australia. In early 2021, he was once again in top gear as he played a brisk 97 at the SCG. He then scored an unbeaten 89 as India made history when they beat Australia in Brisbane to help India win another series in Australia.

Rishabh Pant made his ODI debut back in 2018 and he has scored 865 runs in 30 matches. The left-hander has an average of 34.60 in 26 innings while his strike-rate is an impressive 106.65. He has just 1 century and 5 fifties to his name and is one of the key members of the Indian middle order.

Ishan Kishan, on the other hand, has slammed a double century in ODIs and has played both as an opener as well as in the middle order. He is another aggressive breed of batter who has really come along perfectly.

As far as T20Is are concerned, Pant has scored 987 runs in 66 matches for India. He has not yet cracked the format in international cricket and his strike rate is at 126.37, and he maintains an average of 22.43.

On the other hand, Kishan has accumulated 796 runs in 32 games. He has got an extended run in the top order for India but his average is just 24.50 and a strike rate of 121.63.

Rishabh Pant is currently the captain of the Delhi Capitals - he has made a comeback after missing one year owing to an accident. Although, he has not been at his best in the Indian T20 league, he played more than one instance of him winning the matches all by his own.

Ishan Kishan, on the other hand, has been one of the most expensive players for the Mumbai Indians. He has been part of the IPL for a while now and he too has had his moments in the league over the years.
