Know about International Cricket
International cricket has been growing since its inception in the 19th century. Back in the early 20th century, international cricket saw the dominance of the original members of the Imperial Cricket Conference - England, Australia, and South Africa. It was then renamed as the International Cricket Conference and later the International Cricket Council (ICC) - as the organization gradually took more control for governing the game.
The power base of the ICC shifted from west to east. It was first in Lord’s in London which is also called the traditional home of cricket's cricket. It then shifted to Dubai in 2005. This move was very significant since it marked a complete shift away from the old ways of governance, reflecting changes in the priorities of the game.
Essentially there are three formats in International cricket. The oldest format is Test Cricket that is played across five days. It is considered to be the purest form of cricket as players are tested and their skills are under the scanner for five days. Here each team plays 2 innings each and bowlers need to pick 20 wickets if their side has to win the match.
There is also the 50-overs version of international cricket that is called One Day Internationals. Here the side that scores more runs wins the match. The abridged version of 50-overs cricket is T20 international where each side faces 20 overs each.
Barring a couple of months, international cricket is played the entire year and hence, players wanting to try their hand at fantasy cricket get the perfect opportunity to plan, strategize and make their respective teams. Fantasy cricket teams across different series can really make players stand out and be successful.

Different Formats in International Cricket
International cricket is essentially played across 3 formats. Test cricket, ODI cricket and T20 Internationals. While Test cricket is played across 5 days and is the longest format, ODI Cricket is played across 50 overs and T20 International is shortest format with only 20 overs to be bowled per side.
Test Cricket
The oldest form of international cricket - Test cricket is played across 5 days and the aim of each of the teams is to get 20 wickets. Originally, Test cricket was timeless, but over the years, it has been played across 5 days and is considered to be the toughest format for players.
ODI cricket - 50 overs
In an ODI match, each team plays for a maximum of 50 overs or until all the players in the team gets out. This was conceived to add more excitement in the game and give the audience plenty of context and the guarantee of result in a single day.
T20 Internationals
In T20 International cricket, the rules are pretty similar to the longer versions, but here, each side is limited to 20 overs. Hence, bowlers can only bowl a maximum of four overs, and there is enough on offer for batters to come out and take on the bowlers.
