Rohit Sharma made his Test debut at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens against West Indies, in Sachin Tendulkar’s farewell Test series. He scored 177 runs on debut, and followed that up with an unbeaten 111 in the second Test at his home ground, the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

His innings saw him hit 14 boundaries and 3 sixes, as he shared a 200-plus partnership for the fourth wicket with Ravindra Jadeja.
