Both teams are currently at the wrong side of the points table. Mumbai are eighth with two wins in four games while Hyderabad, who also have two wins in four matches, are ninth in the rankings.

Mumbai Indians started their campaign with consecutive losses against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings. However, they bounced back to win the next two games against Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders. They put up a brilliant batting display against KKR, chasing down 186 runs in 17.4 overs. Ishan Kishan scored 58 off just 25 while Suryakumar Yadav scored 43 off 25.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, lost their first two games against Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants but won against Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, in the next two games. Harry Brook scored a brilliant century to help Sunrisers post a target of 228 for KKR, which they successfully defended as Marco Jansen and Mayank Markande picked up two wickets each.

Both teams will now look to seal their third successive win of the season.
