Objective: The objective of the skill-based game is to bid and score the highest number of points as a team.
The game is played between 4 players wherein 2 people partner up together and should showcase team work. 32 cards from the standard 52-card pack are used for the game. The 2, 3, 4, and 5 cards from each suite are removed from the deck
Card Ranking : J,9,A,10,K,Q,8,7
The game is started by the person sitting to the right of the dealer.
Each player consecutively makes a bid. Whoever makes the highest bid gets to choose the trump card. The final bid is decided when 3 of the 4 players choose to pass.
The first bid must be higher than 15 points. No one can bid more than 29. The players must be strategic in choosing the bid carefully as the person with highest bid can select the 'trump card' but failure to reach the bid will cause the player to lose the game. The highest bidder then chooses a trump card but does not tell the other players.
Now, each player gets 4 more cards making everyone’s total 8. Each card holds a separate value and hence the players are required to memorize the value of the card they are holding fro quick decision-making and smart play.
The person sitting to the left of the dealer plays the first card. The next player must follow the same suit.
When a player cannot play the same suit, he tells the group. At this point, the trump cardholder declares which card it is.
The game continues until someone throws in a trump card. This person proceeds to get everyone’s cards and points.
The goal is to play tricks where you have the highest valued cards. Hence, the participants have to bear on mind the values assigned to the card and be mindful of the cards that have been dealt to the other players. The players must also attempt to strategize with the partner to win most number of tricks.
Jacks, Nines, Aces, and Tens carry 3,2,1 and 1 point respectively.
Kings and Queens carry no points.
The person who plays the last card gets one extra point making the possible number of points 29.
Time duration of the game : The game continues till either the highest bidder scores the points they bid or when all the cards are exhausted.
The following information is provided to the players on the screen:
1. Score: Each player can see score of every other player on the table, along with the team score. As the score is increasing/decreasing, the player is able to track their score
