Batting first, the Sunrisers scored 200 runs after Vivrant Sharma and Mayank Agarwal stitched together a first-wicket partnership of 140 runs. But Mumbai Indians chased down the target in only 18 overs. Cameron Green scored a sensational unbeaten century off just 47 balls while skipper Rohit Sharma scored a half century.
Lucknow Super Giants, on the other hand, defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders in their last league game. A half century from Nicholas Pooran took them to a first innings total of 176 runs, in reply to which KKR gave a good fight before losing the game by just 1 run. Ravi Bishnoi and Yash Thakur picked up two wickets each.
When MI and LSG met in the league stage of the tournament, LSG won by five runs after defending a total of 177 runs which they built on the back of a half century by Marcus Stoinis. LSG have, in fact, won all the three games they have played against Mumbai Indians since last year.
