RCB come into this game on the back of a loss at the hands of Delhi Capitals. Batting first, they scored 181 runs on the back of half-centuries by Virat Kohli and Mahipal Lomror. But the Capitals chased down the target in just 16.4 overs with seven wickets in hand. This was RCB’s worst bowling performance of this season. 

This will be the second meeting between Mumbai and Bangalore this season. RCB won the earlier fixture by eight wickets after chasing down 172 runs in 16.2 overs. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis scored 148 runs for the first wicket, which laid the foundation for the win.
