The 16th game of IPL 2023 will be played between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians at the former’s home ground. Both the teams have had a similar start to their IPL 2023 campaign.
Delhi, led by David Warner, have lost all of their first three matches. The losing streak started with Lucknow Super Giants, then the Gujarat Titans and then the Rajasthan Royals. One of their biggest concerns has been the lack of firepower in the batting. Apart from Warner, no other batsman has been able to deliver the goods. Expectations were high from Prithvi Shaw, but he was disappointing in all the first three games. All-rounder Mitchell Marsh has flown home for a week for his wedding, and will be missing this clash. Khaleel Ahmed is also unavailable for this game due to niggle.
Mumbai Indians too have not won any of their two games so far and both their batting and bowling has looked weak. They lost their first game to RCB and the next one to arch rivals CSK. Some of their biggest names, including Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, were dismissed cheaply in both the matches. Their bowlers will also need to keep a check on their economy rates.
