The Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati will host the third T20I match between India and Australia on Tuesday, November 28. India are leading the series 2-0, having won both the first two games.
In the first T20I played in Vizag, Indian bowlers conceded plenty of runs but the batsmen were somehow able to chase down 208 with one ball to spare. However, India achieved a dominating victory in the second match in Thiruvananthapuram. Their top 3 in the batting line-up – Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan scored half centuries, followed by an unbeaten 9-ball 31 by Rinku Singh. India posted their fifth highest total in T20Is (235 for 4) and successfully defended the target.
Prasidh Krishna and Ravi Bishnoi picked up three wickets each to help India win by 44 runs. Marcus Stoinis and Mathew Wade scored in 40s, but did not get support from the rest of the batsmen. Australia eventually managed 191 in their 20 overs.
India will now look to clinch the series when the third T20I gets underway. The last time Australia lost three consecutive T20Is was in 2021, when they lost four consecutive matches against West Indies and Bangladesh.
Ahead of the third match of the series, here is everything you need to know.
