Delhi come into this game after defeating Punjab in Dharamshala a couple of days ago, and will be looking to finish the season with another win. A half century each by Prithvi Shaw and Rille Rossouw, and a knock of 46 by skipper David Warner, powered Delhi to a first innings total of 213 for 2, which their bowlers successfully defended. Ishant Sharma and Anrich Nortje picked up two wickets each to help Delhi win the game by 15 runs.
Chennai, on the other hand, lost their last game to Kolkata by six wickets. Apart from Shivam Dube, who remained unbeaten on 48, none of the other batsmen could get going as CSK posted a small total of 144 on the board. In reply, KKR chased down the target in 18.3 overs despite good effort from Deepak Chahar, who picked up three wickets for 27 runs. CSK are already into the playoffs, but the result of this game will decide if they will get to be in the top 2 or not.
