Former India captain Virat Kohli is synonymous with the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has been with the franchise since its inception. He is an epitome of consistency and hence, is no surprise that he leads the run-scoring charts in the IPL. Virat Kohli has also captained RCB and is currently the leading IPL run scorer with 6411 runs in 216 matches at an average of 36.43.
Virat Kohli is followed by another Indian batting stalwart Shikhar Dhawan. The left-hander has played for different teams in the IPL and has always been a consistent run-scorer. In 200 matches, Dhawan has scored 6086 runs at an average of 35.18.
Rohit Sharma is third on the list. The Mumbai Indians captain has led his side to 5 IPL titles and has also been fairly consistent with the bat. In 221 IPL matches, he has scored 5764 runs at an average of 30.66.
Australian opening batter David Warner is another consistent performer in the IPL. He was an absolute run-machine for the SunRisers Hyderabad. He now plays for the Delhi Capitals. In 155 matches, he has scored 5668 runs at an average of 41.99.
Former India batter Suresh Raina was phenomenal in the IPL and was nicknamed Mr.IPL for good measure. Such was his impact that he single-handedly won several games for the Chennai Super Kings. In 205 matches, Raina scored 5528 runs at an average of 32.52.
