USA and Pakistan are set to lock horns in Match 11 of the T20 World Cup 2024 on Thursday, June 6. The match will take place at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.
The Monank Patel-led side won the opening match of the tournament against neighbours Canada at the same venue. Batting first Canada posted a competitive total of 194 runs in their 20 overs. In reply, USA chased down the target in 17.4 overs. The star of the chase was Aaron Jones, who scored a knock of 94 runs off only 40 balls at a strike rate of 235. He was well assisted by Andries Gous, who contributed with a valuable knock of 65 runs. USA boast of a potent batting unit, and this was visible in their opening match. However, Pakistan will not be an easy opponent.
This will be the first game of the tournament for the Babar Azam-led team which recently lost a T20 series to England. Champions of the 2099 T20 World Cup, Pakistan will be looking to start their 2024 campaign on high by defeating USA. They will be without their star bowler Imad Wasim for this game as he has sustained an injury.
