In reply, the visitors were bowled out for 251, as India went on to win the match by 153 runs. Sharma was awarded the Player of the Match award. 6. Pathum Nissanka – 210 runs
In February 2024, Pathum Nissanka became the first Sri Lankan batsman to score a double century in ODIs. This came in the first ODI of the series against Afghanistan in Pallekele. The opener delivered a stunning unbeaten innings of 210 runs from just 139 balls. His knock included 20 boundaries and eight sixes, propelling Sri Lanka to an imposing total of 381/3. Nissanka’s innings now stands as the sixth-highest individual score in ODI history.
7. Ishan Kishan – 210 runs
In December 2022, Ishan Kishan joined the list of batsmen with the highest individual score in ODI cricket. Kishan scored 210 runs off 131 balls in Chattogram against Bangladesh.
