India’s largest vernacular interactive entertainment company, WinZO, has announced the launch of a software developer kit (SDK) that facilitates easy and swift onboarding of the third party games developed by game developers on the existing WinZO app. Post the integration, the games are made available to WinZO’s 100 million user base in real time, facilitating revenue generation for the developers without incurring any marketing and infrastructural costs. WinZO’s microtransaction based monetisation model that ranges from Rs 1-10 has proven to be more effective than the in-app purchases and advertisement based models, leading to 100x better returns for the game developers.
Joining the WinZO platform is a simple three step process. In the first step, game developers need to register on WinZO Game Developer Console (console.winzogames.com) by adding the basic details such as name of the studio, name of the person of contact, email id, and mobile number. In the second step, the game developer is required to submit the game on the console for review and approval process. A sophisticated game profile is created based on the game quality, technological compatibility and skill requirement for the game. Once the game is deemed secure and fit by WinZO’s tech, the game is approved. In the third and final step, the game developer gets access to WinZO’s SDK which can be easily plugged into their existing software framework to go live.
“The gaming studios play a crucial role in bringing valuable and unique offerings to Indian consumers through WinZO’s platform. Our constant endeavor is to help these studios leverage the power of our platform to expand their reach and serve the pan-India consumer base, gain access to best-in-class distribution tech tools and drive growth. We are excited and committed to easing their growth journey in India,” said Paavan Nanda, co-founder, WinZO.
WinZO’s personalisation engine leverages the high volume of data generated from its users to automatically position the game in the right category and promote it to the relevant audience, thereby maximising engagement and revenue potential. Via the SDK, the developers can also access the real time analytics and game level data on the developer console dashboard. This includes technical data, user ratings, data logs, revenues and retention metrics to mention a few. WinZO provides end to end support to the game developer community on optimising their game and solving complex problems.
There are over 100 games on WinZO across categories like strategy, sports, casual, card, arcade, racing, action, board games, among others. WinZO’s 100 million registered users on the platform are making more than 3.5 billion microtransactions in a month. 90% of the users are from tier 2-tier 5 part of India. The average time spent on the app is 55 minutes per day.
