About the Role :

What you will do:

• Lead financial controllership and ensure timely, accurate closings that meet audit and compliance standards across high-velocity, multi-entity operations.
• Drive Financial Planning & Analysis, while ensuring strategic capex/opex planning with ROI focus across business functions, and alignment to growth levers.
• Institutionalize audit readiness and hygiene, driving proactive, structured execution of statutory, internal, and tax audits with robust documentation, reconciliations, and automation at scale with internal and external stakeholders.
• Own end-to-end direct and indirect tax compliance across user and vendor transactions including but not limited to GST, TDS, FEMA, digital taxation on cross-border flows ensuring accurate deductions, filings, and payouts.
• Design & manage scalable revenue and payout reconciliation systems, integrating across but not limited to UPI, wallets, cards, SDKs, app stores, user-facing platforms, with near real-time accuracy and control.
• Formulate, draft and implement financial controls, SOPs, process flows, embedding financial governance into all users, vendors, and platform-level processes while supporting high product iteration speed.
• Build and lead a comprehensive risk and governance framework, addressing financial, regulatory, and operational risks associated with real-money gaming, multi-jurisdictional operations, and digital ecosystems.
• Lead financial governance at ZO Ventures, with a focus on disciplined capital management and building systems to track fund utilization and portfolio performance
• Formulate and execute the corporate, IP and investment structuring strategy, optimizing entity and jurisdiction choices to protect assets, optimize tax structures, and ensure regulatory compliance across entities

• CA with an MBA from a Tier-1 business school, with a strong foundation in financial reporting, audit, and strategic finance.
• 7+ years of progressive experience across controllership, taxation, business finance, compliance, and internal controls with a demonstrated ability to operate in both fast-paced, high-growth environments, and structured, mature organizations. 
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale finance functions in high-frequency and matured businesses with a bias toward automation and speed.
• Deep working knowledge of Indian statutory and regulatory frameworks, with hands-on experience managing audits, assessments, tax compliance, and system implementations.
• Comfortable working with high-performance teams, designing systems from scratch, and operating with precision in fast-evolving, high-complexity environments.
• Brings a strong sense of ownership, ethics, and long-term thinking, with the ambition to play a key leadership role in scaling WinZO into a category-defining institution.
• Significant experience in managing a large and complex set of stakeholders (including peers and 3rd parties) and holding others accountable.
