Storyline
Kayla Harrison, heiress to a vast oil empire, is compelled to marry Jack Harrison, the son of her father’s closest friend and long-time business partner. Together, they uphold their families’ legacy and thrive in the industry. Despite being married for three years, Kayla struggles to develop feelings for Jack, who constantly strives to be the perfect husband. While making it seem as if Jack isn’t doing enough to save their marriage, Kayla rekindles a romance with her high school love, Maxwell, whom she would have married if her parents had approved.
One day, Jack sincerely asks how he can improve as a husband, and Kayla suggests he consult a marriage counselor recommended by a friend. During sessions with the counselor, Sara, Jack begins to notice her allure. Initially, Sara resists, but she gradually realizes she feels attracted to him too, despite the professional boundaries. Jack, promising to protect her, eventually crosses the line and cheats on Kayla with Sara.
