Most people know me as Divya YTKGG, my gaming name.
Like many others, I was stuck at home during the pandemic. There was nothing much to do, and I couldn’t go out and meet friends. I used to play PUBG earlier, but over time, I lost interest in it.

As I started playing Free Fire, I met some Telugu players in the game. I was pushed to start of YouTube channel – they must have seen the spark in me and wanted me to really grow. This is how my journey as a content creator began.
Now, the going was anything but easy – I had only a few subscribers when I started my chanel. But, then I needed to be patient and consistent – I kept uploading videos and my channel started growing. This is where I could see a growth and there were people who were willing to see my gameplay, share feedback and there was plenty of support.
Of course, not everything was positive. I was a female gamer in a largely male-dominated space and this had its own challenges. I faced trolling, negative comments, and people who said I didn’t belong here. It was so easy to get distracted, but the positive feedback that came allowed me to focus on what I wanted to do – and I kept doing what I loved.
When Gaming Became More Than a Passion
In 2021, I got my first income from YouTube. It was ₹30,000. This was when I realised this could become more than a hobby.
I still remember, it was just a couple of weeks later when I got a promotional offer from WinZO. Back then, I did not know it could potentially be a game-changer for me. I want to create opportunities for others the way I found them. I realise that my going was not very smooth, but I have got here thanks to the community. This will be my way of giving something back to the community.
I’m also looking forward to more projects and collaborations through WinZO. Each step forward makes me feel more confident about what I’m building.
