Wild Cards or Jokers can be used to substitute any card to complete sets and sequences. You can use a Joker to create an impure sequence, but at least one pure sequence is mandatory to declare.
In some variants, you can add cards to existing sets or sequences on the table, commonly known as middle joining.
If you feel your hand is too weak to play, you can use the 'Drop' option at the beginning of your turn. However, this will cost you some points. If a player drops without making a move, it is called a 'First Drop,' and the points are relatively lower than a regular drop.
If you declare with invalid sets or sequences, it is considered a 'Wrong Declaration,'' and you lose the game with maximum points.
Rummy Online Game Tricks
Pay attention to your opponents' moves and the cards they pick and discard. This will help you understand their strategies and adjust your game accordingly.
Identify and retain important cards that can complete multiple sets or sequences. For instance, keeping a card that can fit into multiple sequences will give you more options.
At the beginning of the game, try to get rid of high-value cards that are unlikely to fit into any sets or sequences. Discarding such cards will reduce your penalty points.
Jokers are powerful assets. Use them strategically to complete sets or sequences. Save Jokers for crucial combinations rather than wasting them on easily achievable ones.
If you notice your opponents consistently discarding cards that you need, they might be trying to block your moves. Be prepared with alternative strategies in such situations.
