Match 3D Mania

  • Objective: The objective of the skill-based game of Match 3D is to match pairs of 3D objects that are identical in shape and color by dragging them to the 'hole' at the bottom of the screen. In the game, a player is presented with a collection of 3D objects, such as fruits, animals, and household items, that are placed in a unorganised layout on the screen through which the player is required to quickly sift through to find objects that are suitable for dropping through the 'hole' by recalling which object is the most suitable. To complete a level, the player needs to utilize their cognitive abilities to review these objects carefully so as to be able to match all the pairs of identical objects by dragging the pairs to the 'hole' at the bottom of the screen that sucks in the identical objects. If the player attentive and observant, the player can increase their score multiplier by finding pairs of objects within a certain time of each other. The player may also strategically chose multiple objects before dragging them to the hole to enjoy the benefits of maximum multipliers. The player also has two powerups, (a) Find: A player can find the matching pair of an object the player is unable to find, (b) Freeze: A player can freeze the multiplier that they have earned and buy themselves more time to find the next identical pair of objects to increase the multiplier further and must plan appropriately to use these powerups on the right occasion. Scoring: A player gets 50 points per match. For each match made within 5 seconds, a player's multiplier increases, increasing the score by 1.2x for each match made. So the player gets 50, 60, 72 and so on. Total duration of the game: 1 minute (60 seconds) The following information is provided to the players on the screen: 1. Time: The total time at the start of the game and the time decreasing is shown to the player 2. Score: The player's score is shown to the player. As the score is increasing/decreasing, the player is able to track their score The player that generates the most points over the given time is announced as the winner The aggregate contributions by all players will constitute the Prize Money Pool.
