Circle Carrom
-
Objective: The objective of the skill-based game is to pocket as many pucks as possible within the time limit. Gameplay : The gameplay relies on the swiping motions on a touchscreen mobile for controlling the direction and power of the striker puck to strike the carom pucks outside the circular playing area, wherein a portion of the circular arena is cut out, allowing the carrom pucks to fall out. The cut out portion of the circular arena rotates continuously and hence the player should be patient and utilize his judgement to determine the direction and power of the striker to hit the puck out of the board. The player should also acquire some level of dexterity to keep changing the angle of the shot in accordance with the continuous rotation of the circular arena. This requires continuous focus and concentration of the player. The points associated with the pucks vary as per their colours, including additional points for dropping multiple pucks in a single strike. Hence, adroitness will be required from the player to hit multiple pucks with the same shot to maximize the points. As the levels progress, additional elements of difficulty are added such as (i) the carrom pucks are arranged in positions that would make it difficult to strike out multiple pucks (ii) the cut-out portion of the arena increases, making it difficult to keep the striker inside and/or (iii) obstacles are added in the arena which would further obstruct the striker or pucks. This requires the players to alter their strategy and game play style with progress in levels. Scoring: Black Puck = 10 points White Puck = 20 points Red Puck = 50 points Combos Multiple pucks in one shot: 2X score for both pucks (10+10)*2 = 40 where two 10 point pucks are pocketed together Consecutive pucks: 2X score for 1st consecutive puck (10) + (10*2) = 30 where two 10 point pucks are pocketed consecutively Negative points for committing a foul (Striker falling down). 50 points get deducted for a foul.
